Can radio stations live forever and not die?

1. Radio stations aren't alive
2. Radio Stations change format or go out of business alot, its usually the smaller stations that change. I live in chicago, and there are stations that have been around as long as I've been alive. ( 40 plus years) some never change format, some do.. its not possible to know that a radio station can live on forever one station I listen too, was rock and roll my whole childhood, thru gradeschool and highschool, now its a talk station.. its still on the air, hasnt died out, but it has changed...
