During a College Football game why is the radio broadcast behind the Live TV broadcast by one or two plays?

- because they have to make sure its right and they have to receive the play first and put it on the teleprompter so they say it right and you wouldnt want the guy announcing to be like oh they made a touchdown oh wait sorry they actually didnt it just looked like they did for a second they actually have to punt or something. its the same with the play by play action on the internet its always a play or two behind. i hope i helped.
- Because of the seven second delay broadcasters have. It's been around for ever.
- It's the delay for the guy on the beeper button. The radio station is probably more concerned about FCC fines (or they have a less experienced censor man) so their delay may be longer than the TV station's.
- the radio broadcasts here are ahead of the TV.
- I was listening to a Cubs game on the radio and they explained it. there is a delay because the radio is screened in case something profane is said or inappropriate, this is done to avoid fines that would come along.
