Is it possible to listen to a live radio station whilst on a plane?

Is it possible to listen to a live radio station whilst on a plane? My brother is travelling to the USA whilst the Champions League final is on & was wondering if he could listen to the match... Many thanks

1. Very doubtful , he could however use the phones on the aircraft and get someone to hold the other phone to a radio on the ground , expensive , way , how big a fan is he ?
2. YOU MAY BE ABLE TO PICK UP SOME PROGRAMS ON SHORTWAVE AS THEIR SIGNALS TRAVEL FURTHER BUT I DOUBT YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE A RADIO ONBOARD IN YOUR HAND LUGGAGE
3. Yes,you can listen through the headphones.
4. depends what class and what airways he is on.
5. It's possible when flying over land, but over the ocean there's very little chance of picking anything up.
