how can i listen to lakers game live pn radio for free? like is there a website or something
How many rivalries do the Lakers have? I live in San Antonio and the local talk radio show was talking about the Spurs/Lakers rivalry. I know there's obviously a Lakers/Celtics rivalry from back in the day. What are some other teams you would consider to be a "rivalry team" for the Lakers? And, do you even acknowledge a Spurs/Lakers rivalry?
Why does it seem as if the Giants-Dodgers rivalry has more fire than the Warriors-Lakers rivalry? I live near San Francisco, and I see waaay more people, for some reason, hating on the Dodgers than the Lakers. Last time I checked, Lakers and Dodgers are from the same area, just like the Giants and Warriors. Plus, they're in the same divisions in the NBA and MLB. In fact, even on the local news and radio stations, they bash the Dodgers, but not the Lakers. It's odd, huh?

Is Patriots vs Jets the number 1 rivalry in Boston? I live in Boston, sports talk radio has been saying all day that this rivalry is now tops, I disagree. As much as I dislike the Yankees and Lakers, I respect them. The Canadiens I absolutely despise. But the Jets/Patriots rivalry is fairly new, and most of it, until last year, is from off-field discord between the two franchises. If you are not from either city, I'd be curious to learn what the top rivalry is for you and why, so I can read up on it. Rivalries bring so much more to just another regular season game. Edit: Good one Bam. North Attleboro is just down the road from me, good people with the right values for what makes a good life. Agree with your uncle, as tough as losing to the Yankees was all those years, they always won because they had better players. The Canadiens....I hate them more for how they play the game than for the city they represent. For some reason I always thought Bama/LSU was tops, after reading your response, I have a better understanding for the AUB/Bama hatred. Thanks.
Are you just as sick of hearing about where LeBron might go as I? Oh my Jay-Hova! I am tired of hearing, day in and day out, for the past 1-2 weeks, about where, o where, LeBron might go. The man is a great player (and that "great" should be capitalized) and is rightly deserving of his MVP accolades. I'm not arguing about his greatness, I'm arguing that his free agent plans are a non-story. The guy has said nothing new to reporters, yet program directors, radio show personalities, and writers are still muscling in time for endless conjecture, speculation, introspection, and musings about him being a Net, or Knick, or Cav. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. I'm 31 years old, so the only comparable stories in my lifetime in terms of how much press they received might be when Magic announced he had HIV, anytime Jordan retired, Kobe's case, when Shaq left the Lakers, and when Garnett (and Allen) joined the Celtics. Let's rank these, shall we? The press for Magic's announcement was justifiable. The guy was a 5-time champ, and was 1 of 2 guys from that era who literally saved the NBA from extinction. Plus, HIV is pretty serious--almost everyone watching and reading about Magic's ill fortune presumed he'd be dead in a year. Jordan's retirements, like his championships, came in 3's, but were justifiable simply on the strength that the first two times he retired, it was directly after winning a 3rd championship. And it wasn't a foregone conclusion after any of his retirements that he'd be back, ever. Kobe's case came out of nowhere--he went from being America's boy next door to being an alleged rapist. He'll never live that down. And, like Jordan, this came shortly after he'd won 3 championships and was hunting for his fourth. Quite simply, this was by far the worst thing that Kobe Bryant could have done or gotten himself into. And when Shaq left it was the end of an era. Shaq was, and is, a media darling. Like LeBron, they couldn't get enough of him, even though unlike LeBron, Shaq was (and is) well known for offering venemous, spiteful quotes about his teammates, coaches, team execs, etc. Either way, when Shaq left, he was leaving as the most successful and accomplished player in the game, not just a guy who was widely "considered" great. Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett did for the Celtics what Larry Bird did for them in 1979--they revitalized the team and made the franchise relevant again. But unlike the speculation about LeBron, them going to the C's wasn't a big story until almost moments before it happened. Nor was it made a big story DURING the NBA conference championships, even though both guys were, like LeBron, watching the playoffs from their living rooms. I'm just saying, it's getting pretty nauseating to keep watching and listening to the idol worship that this non-story has become. Can we please focus on the 4 teams left in the playoffs???
Has anyone seen the new video of Kobe on Youtube?? I was listening to the radio last night when I heard about a new video on youtube with Kobe Bryant. Supposedly, Kobe is hanging out with the guys from Jackass when they decide to do one of their crazy stunts. So they take a pool and fill it with live snakes. Afterward, they set up a little ramp then ride scooters up the ramp over the pool of snakes. Then, a basketball goal is set up on one side of the pool. Kobe then makes a running start and jumps OVER the pool of snakes and dunks a basketball into the hoop on the other side. I have two more questions: 1. How cool is that? 2. If you're the Lakers organization, how PO'ed would you be if this was actually true?
Winner & Losers of NBA Freaa Agency? Winner: Pat Riley -Proved he is the best in the Business Loser: Cleveland -What Can I say? Winner: Magic -Now the front runner in the East Loser: Lebron, Dwyane, and Bosh -Can they fit together? Will they still be friends at the end of the season? PPG will drop by 5 for each of them. Will they like it? Winner: Chicago Bulls -No one to challenge them in the Central Division now. Loser: Boozer -Sure is going to a great team, but his son's in a hospital in Miami. Was wishing he would go there, to be with his son. Winner: Eric Spoltra -Still the coach Loser: NBA - No true NBA fan (Not counting Heat fans) wanted him to go to Miami. They want the top teams to be the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, and Bulls. And The "Decision" was an embarassment to the league. Say where your going on your site, then make a press conference. Not an hour long, snore fest. And then you say Miami. Then in your interview with Wilbon you look like you just thought " Oh shit! Am I Jordan or Pippen? What If I become the Kukoc or Paxson?!?!?!" Winner: Undrafted Picks - Go to Miami and be a 6th man, go to any where else be a 10th or 11th man. Loser: Lebron -I'm sorry Heat fans, I just don't see how the chemistry works! Celtics did it but they were all in mid-lower 30's who only wanted a ring. But can we really believe, that Lebron will like being the Pippen of the team? Or will Bosh like being the Rodman or Armstrong of the team? Don't see them winning a ring together, but I do think Lebron leaves in 2013 and Wade and Bosh stay, and contend for a Championship! Winner: 2nd Tier Players -People like Reddick and Childress will get way overpaird now that the likes of James, Wade, and Bosh are all in Miami. (Gooden, Milicic, Amir, Frye) Loser: Nets -Biggest loser, have signed no one. Winner: Knicks -I like Carmelo alot more than Lebron, if they can get him and Paul That's the best team, although I expect Melo will stay in Denver or the Bulls trade for him now that they lost out. Loser: Next Years FA Who wants to be a free agent, when a lockout is looming. Winner: Lebrons wife and children - Get to live in all-year nice weather. Loser: Lebrons Mom, and other family in Cleveland. -Get to have people give them snobby looks while trying to buy food. Winner/Loser: Bucks -Got quality players, but overpaid quality players. Will keep in contention with the Bulls for the top spot in the Central, but I don't see that team full of players who could be a 6th man on everyteam. (Save Jennings and Redd. Bogut Maybe) Winner: Stephen A. Smith and Chris Broussard -Smith was the first one to definitely put his name and reputation on the Miami Splice route. He’s stuck to his report for the last week and he comes out as a reborn information king. It’s quite the transformation after ESPN and the Philly media kicked him to the curb. He’s a star again on FOX Sports Radio and a trusted reporter once more. Broussard went from the second fiddle guy to The Man in this process. He’s been on the World Wide Leader for 15 hours a day pushing information, Loser: Ric Bucher -Before the John Clayon of the NBA. Now is the Dan Lebetard if everything else Winner: Rudy Gay -Good not $16 Mill good Loser: Dan Gilbert Looked like a baby, although I agree Lebron quit. Another reason I don't see the Heat playing well. Wade is a hard working man that wants to win. Lebron shoots full court shots before a game, and is a sore loser. Wow 3 Kings? Bandwagon jumper!
