Can I listen to non-local radio stations live online? I'm in Singapore and am here attempting to connect to a san diego's radio station and its taking erm quite forever to connect. But..can't I or am i just being plain silly? Where is the furthest place i can get myself connected to? I'm getting tired of locals..
Can you listen to non-local radio stations online for free? For example, let's say I live in Maryland, and I want to listen to a local radio station based out of Colorado, Can I just go to the website and listen to the music or will the reception be all messed up since I don't live in Colorado.
How can I listen live to local radio if I am out of the area? I want to listen to a community radio station but live elsewhere so can't pick it up on radio. Its an FM frequency. The website has a listen live button, which opens up an html / internet explorer window, with a "media player" type thing, with play / stop buttons etc. But it just says ready, without actually playing anything, even when I click play. Is there another way I can tune in somehow? Maybe via internet? I have itunes and windows media player, would either of them work?
Who all listens to a local radio station from international locations, what stations and why? I live in Scotland and listen to Bostons own 88.9fm WERS! all day! I love it such a good station! When I stream live radio, it keeps looping after about 5 minutes? I'm using a MacBook Pro with OS X, I listen to radio shows using either the local radio stations live stream or that shows websites options, which is usually real player. (this includes videos to). When I am watching a live stream after about 5-6 minutes, it starts back at the beginning of where I started listening, and then 5 minutes later it does it again. so i have to close and re-open the stream and do it every 5 minutes. HELP!

Local radio station on my iPod touch? I'm trying to listen to my local radio station, I don't even know if this is possible... Tho I think it is. So on my iPod I go to the radio stations web site and go to listen live section, everythings goes well and the next window pops up with the now playing and like an ad on the side... It's looks okay like I would regularly would on my mac, but there's no sound what do I do to make it work.. Radios website: 967kissfm.com
Why is it forbidden for radio stations that webcast to include local commercials? I listen to a number of commercial radio stations live via Internet webcasting. Whenever it's time for local commercials on the broadcast station, the webcasts always go to other "commercial free" or certain other commercials produced for the webcast. It's pretty much every commercial station that does this. If a station is airing a nationally syndicated show (such as KROQ's "Loveline" and "Out of Order"), the national commercials included with the syndicated show are webcasted but the local ones are pre-empted. It makes me wonder if there's some FCC legislation forbidding this or a business reason such as the station having to pay bigger fees for commercial webcasting. Anyone know the reason?
What are the most overplayed songs on your radio where you live? Every hour, on the hour, my local radio station has been playing Pink "So What", and Katy Perry "Hot n Cold". I haven't listened to the radio in a while because 1. I got a new stereo in my car and I have to buy this new little part so that the radio works and I haven't bought it yet and 2. I was listening to news talk radio during the elections. I'm so annoyed with these songs!!!!!
Why don't artists signed to Hollywood/Walt Disney Records get regular radio play? Is it me or has anybody else noticed that these artists don't get a lot of play? They get played a lot on the Disney Channel but they hardly get played on mainstream radio stations. I live in Los Angeles and listen to the local radio stations (102.7, 97.1, etc.) and I just find it weird that we have them as guests on our stations or talk about them but never play their records.
Have you started to listen to Christmas music yet? I wasn't going to, but a local radio station I listen to regularly played continuous Christmas music last nite and again this morning. I live in Salt Lake City, and we've been having warm weather...in the 60's...so it doesn't even have a Christmassy feeling. It's only Nov. 7th, and it seemed like it was Christmas Eve or Christmas Day the way they played nonstop Christmas music. I was in a bad mood, and actually, by continuing to listen, it put me in a better mood. I love Christmas music, so maybe it isn't too early to listen.
radio picked up distant station on same frequency? I was driving in my car today listening to a local radio station 89.7, which is from eastern Pennsylvania where I live. As I got off the highway, the music changed, and I was listening to a different station... from Cape Breton! A quick search online shows that that station is also 89.7, but very far away. For about a mile, the stations were back and forth eventually returning to normal. What could cause this?
Is there anyway to get a live streaming radio to your phone or computer? I use iheartradio at work to listen to a local radio station that plays the Elvis Duran morning show in the morning, which works except for one huge problem. On the internet feed (which I guess is the same stream that goes to iheartradio), it plays the same *old* songs everyday. It's either a Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Blink 182 or some other old song. There aren't any new songs played, ever. Is there any other ways to get a live radio stream directly to my phone and/or computer?
Why can't I listen to UK Radio on Internet when I'm in France? I am not a total novice, but really struggling with this! Originally starting a year ago, I had no problems logging onto my local radio station site, and clicking listen live. I then could listen for as long as I wanted. However, since the broadcasting regulations changed I was blocked and asked for a UK postcode which I submitted, and it allowed me to access the listen live feature. But.... it will not play for more than a few seconds and then cuts out completely and it does not matter how many times I repeat the process - it will not stay connected. Its driving me mad!!! I called the radio station, and the technical man said it was because I was using a French server. He suggested I corrected the problem by looking at or adjusting my cookies, but he was not officially allowed to tell me how. Is this the problem, and if so could someone explain to me what I should do? Does anyone have any other ideas that I could try?
UK - What radio station do you listen to and how old are you? I'm 50 soon and love KISS FM (www.totalkiss.com to listen online now to Jez Welham show). It helps me get started in the morning with good dance, r n b and hip etc. I do the school run in the morning before work and my son's friends (secondary school) always give me the thumbs up when they hear what I'm listening to. I don't live in London where KISS FM is based but my local radio station is crap and I lived in London some years ago.
Does anyone listen to college radio? I DJ at WSBF 88.1, Clemson University's campus station and was just wondering who listens to their local college radio station (provided you actually have one where you live).
What do you like to listen to on the radio.? Please don't answer if it is some muppet on a tin pot local radio station. I have in mind Just a minuet on R4, Zane Lowe on R1, A sport prog on Talk sport/Five Live, or Some specialist music prog on 6 music.
How can people phone in during talk radio shows when they're on at different times on different stations? I occasionally listen to various radio talk shows where people can call in and talk to the host. However, I've found that local radio stations often play the shows at different times of the day. This implies to me that the shows are in fact not live, as they seem to be. So how are people able to call in during the show and talk to the host? I wasn't saying I think the calls are fake and set up for the show. I asked my question because sometimes I'd like to call in and talk to the host, but if the show is on at different times in different places, then I would need to know how to find out when the show is played live so that I can call in.
Why is it that everyone would like to question the president? Yes.. it is your right to do so... and yes you should... it is the right you are given by this great country we live in-- but-- it reallly burns my butt that most poeple that have this terrible opinion of the president are ignorant, uneducated people. i.e.. the recent devastation in New Orleans. I always listen to local radio stations-- and listen to the people bash the president-- and most of them have not gone to college, traveled the world, or even have the slightest clue on how the government is run. Everyone thinks they can do better...right? And the people that think they can do better are all making minimum wage. Or the people that protest the war-- have they been to Iraq? Oh-- they have seen it on T.V.-- that makes them an expert!?!? Or they hear what celebs are saying-- and that is where they get their greatly formed opinion. What do you think? (I thought this would be a fun one) Case and point

I am VERY Offended how our Local Radio Station made a Mockery out of a Man's suicide attempt. Advice? I live in Metro Detroit, and today on I696, a laid off Auto worker was on a Bridge wanting to jump off and take his own life. It was a 9 hour standoff and 4 miles of the Highway in both directions were closed off. The Local Rock Radio station called 101 the WRIF here in Detroit decided to make a mockery of the man. They said "Here is for the buddy on the bridge" and played one suicide song after another. They were cracking up about it. It was SOO sad. I listen to country music but my husband is a Big rock fan. So when he was sitting in traffic, he called me and I could here it over the radio. Can anything be said or done, or do you just ignore it. I was offended by the whole situation. My husband was joking about suicide and saying the Guy is retarded and probably wanted to jump because he hated country music. (My husband knowing that I am a country music lover, said, I would jump if you made me listen to Shania Twain.) We got into a Big fight over it.
Why can I no longer stream on a radio station site? I used to be able to listen to a local radio station by going to their website and clicking 'listen live' when I was then taken to Windows Mediaplayer and the radio station would play. I have not changed anything but now when I go to the station it says the server is not available or that I have to save or open a file as the default programme does not recognise it. When I save the file I am offered to the desktop and try opening it from there, I get the same message about the server being unavailable. It is available on other PCs I have tried, but just not mine at home, but it used to be. Any ideas?
Where to find broadcast Jazz radio stations? Since I am using an old fashioned antenna (call it "rabbit ears", if you want), to pull in my radio stations. Here, in Central Illinois, I have listened to my local PBS station, FM 90.9, and I never complained, even about the programming that I didn't like, since I was not a dues-paying member. The problem is that WILL FM 90.9 is changing its programming, due to federal, and state, budget cuts, and, as a result, we are losing shows like Riverwalk: Live from the Landing, Blues before Daybreak, and others. My question is: Where should I look, in, and around, Springfield, Champaign, Decatur, area for another fm radio station which plays music by such greats as: 1) Louis Armstrong 2) Count Basie 3) Lena Horn and so on. Any station call letters (please include station call numbers), in, or around, downstate Illinois? Any suggestions?
Unable to connect to live radio stream? Im trying to listen to the local radio via the internet, since it sounds sooo much better then thru a little dinky radio.. but it plays for maybe a minute, then it starts saying "we could not connect you to our live radio stream, please try again in a few moments".. i just leave it there waiting and every once in a while it connects, ive tried going straight through from the cable box to computer(not through a router), with all protection disabled(firewall, A/V, etc) and same thing.. i can listen to any other station with out any issues, though they dont play the same music.. i noticed that the 2 computers that light up when the internet is in use, beside the taskbar clock(loading a webpage, downloading something, etc) and while it is working they're lit up, but when it stops, they arent lit(they light up once in a while, but never both at the same time) and i can load any webpage, etc.. Any idea's what could cause this? Ive tried contacting them through there facebook page but all they said was "we're looking into it"(this was sunday).. is it possible its something on there end? P.S the station is http://hot935.ca/mediaplayer/player.asp i also went online via google search, to see if there was a site that streamed it, found one, but it never played(appeared to be connected through windows media player) but no matter how many times i clicked play it didnt work.. its a pain in the butt.. all i want to do it listen to the radio =(
Am I the only one who can't stand Dawson McAllister Live? I get that people like call-in shows on the radio, but this guy is a moron! His advice is not only religious based (if it's religious based then stay on religious stations), it's so generalized and it seems that the person calling in is always at fault! Amazing how the only people at fault seem willing to listen to his blathering bull. I'd never heard of this guy (Dawson McAllister) until about a month ago when my local radio station picked him up on a syndication deal through Clear Channel Broadcasting (who owns the radio station) and now I have to listen to him drone on about things he understands very little about for 2 hours a night if I want to listen to the radio. His advice is downright dangerous in some situations, and I can't stand someone claiming to "Understand the young-adults these days" when he wouldn't understand young-adults if they ran naked through the room! Why is this guy bombarding me with his "views" when I'm not listening to a religious station and how did he ever get popular enough to get a nationwide syndication deal?! Okay I'll get off my soapbox now. I'm just curious if anyone else is feeling the same way.
How much would you pay to have your picture taken with Michelle Obama...? ...I live in the Salt Lake City area, and this morning was listening to a local radio station. They said Michelle Obama is expected to visit local Park City on July 26th for a Democratic fundraiser for Barack Obama's reelection bid. They said it would cost $1,000 a plate for the luncheon/dinner plate, and if you want your picture taken with her it will be $30,000. Does she really charge to have her picture taken with her?
Question about Art Bell, George Noory and Coast to Coast AM? My local radio station used to play Art Bell & George Noory. Now they don't. On the Coast to Coast AM website you can listen to streams, but they want to charge for this. Silly since if my station carried the show, it would be free. Many radio stations have Listen Live links on their websites. Is there any of these that broadcast the show over the Internet (and if so could someone post the radio station here) or, as I suspect, does the website stream dead air during the show time?
Besides moving...how can I get a local radio station from interfering my home phone? I live very close to the WLW tower in Mason Ohio which was built to put out enough signal to circle the globe back in World War II days. They have cut the strength since, but it is still strong enough that I can listen to any of their raido programs by just picking up my phone. I can use my cell without any interuptions...but I would rather not run my minutes up when I pay for a home phone aswell. The phone company seems to have no answers for me. Has anyone ever overcome this problem or am I screwed?
Radio concert ticket giveaways? So, for those of you who live in Beaumont, Texas i'm sure you know the local radio station Q94. They say they are going to give away these concert tickets at a certain time. A different time every day until friday. I listen as much as i can which is a lot and i never can catch when they are giving the tickets away. All i ever hear is information about the tickets, never the actual give away. Any tips? Anything will help. thanks!
Has the Heart re-brand influenced other stations to change for the better? As I'm sure you know, London-based station 'Heart' have taken over a lot of local radio stations, Heart are a station no-one likes due to the fact that they have a repetitive playlist and don't play any current hits, and everyone has been complaining about the re-brand on various websites. But since the re-brand, I've noticed an effect this as has on other stations that may be done intentionally to attract listeners who are fed up with Heart. These changes include: 1) Radio 1 - They used to play more obscure stuff that most people didn't know or like, most people only want to hear mainstream top 40 hits. But since the Heart re-brand they suddenly changed their format and started playing more mainstream stuff. Bit much of a coincidence I think..... 2) Broadcast Range Expanding - Have you noticed that since the Heart re-brand, more stations have been receivable outside of their intended coverage area? My car radio can receive most (if not all) of the London stations from where I live in Essex - I swear I've never received as far as London before Essex FM re-branded! I even remember Capital FM being a novelty when I used to visit a friend up there - and now I listen to it all the time from where I live. I visited my aunt in Ayelsbury this year and received all the London stations from there - before I only got Mix 96 and Fox FM (the latter of which are now Heart). This gives areas more choice than they had before - so more alternatives to Heart! 3) Tag-lines - I have spotted some station tag-lines that are to take the **** out of Heart. Southend Radio have been saying "If you want to hear the same songs over and over again, you've come to the wrong place." Everyone knows where the right place is. Kent station KMFM say "We are now Kent's only local station", that's because Invicta have been taken over. They also occasionally say "Where other stations may desert you - we're going nowhere". Absolute Radio and a few other stations have started making a point of having shows where they will not play the same song twice. 4) Less boring BBC stations - I remember when my dad used to have BBC Essex on years ago, it was mainly talking, with the occasional song, which was always a really old song. Now, when I flick past, they seem to have cut down on the talking, and started focusing more on music - and they've been adding some 2000s and current chart songs to their playlist. Same happened with BBC Kent. Also, flicking past my dial I heard some stuff on Radio 2 that would never have been played there a while ago, the other day heard some Snow Patrol on there, and I swear I've even caught Arctic Monkeys and The Killers on there. So do you think these changers are influenced by local stations being taken over, or is it coincidence? Oh forgot to add a 5) Smooth radio, in spite of their name, seem to have started playing a wider range of music than just easy listening.
Crazy Long-Distance FM Radio Signal...How Could It Happen? Yesterday, a friend of mine was driving home from work at 5 PM, scanning his radio for a good station to listen to. He was searching for 101.5 FM, a local station, when his radio scanner stopped at 101.3 FM. However, this 101.3 FM is entirely different from the 101.5 FM we have: different format and all. This new 101.3 FM was coming over the air as clear as a bell for about a 10 mile radius. Once he got to a certain point, the signal completely went to static. Now, here's where it gets crazy. We live in Southwest Virginia. This radio station identified itself as C101 ROCKS! This radio station is in Corpus Christi, TX. That's a good 1400 miles away. Also, my friend swears he heard a commercial advertising their 4 PM drive home. Now, we're in EDT in VA, they're in CDT in TX. 5 PM for us, 4 PM for them. It matches up. Now, I have a working knowledge of how FM and AM waves work. And FM waves aren't supposed to have but about 1/20 of that range at the absolute most. So my question is this: how on earth could he pick up that radio station from TX, when we're in VA?
Is today a sad day or what? I'm listening to the local radio station where I live right now, and they're playing one sad song after another! I cried when they played the song "Butterfly Kisses." Could I be depressed?
Londoners - bbc live radio sports, how to listen to it on mp3 fm radio? i want to listen to the spurs v portsmouth commentary. its on this website. but as im working tonight i wont be able to listen to it as il be at work. but i have fm radio on my mp3 player, so i can catch up the first half of the game on radio but i dont know what station it is. i know they are broadcastin the chelsea v villa game on 94.9 but i want to listen to the spurs game so is there a station which will broadcast it on the radio http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/hi/front_page/newsid_8273000/8273157.stm heres the website for it on the internet.
Why dose the signal quality of a local radio station improve after dark? The station I listen to always broadcasts from the same towers, at 10kw day and turns down the power to 9kw nighttime (9pm - 4am). If I am driving at night in my truck (which has a 1960's AM only radio, so you don't have noise reduction clearing the signal of interference), the signal would sound just as good if it was daytime, and a 10kw signal is still being used. Why is the signal better, if not just as good at night? By the way, I only live about 20 km from the towers
Anyone know much about DJs for classical music stations? Some of my favorite classical music pieces I've discovered through the years were finds from a local radio station, so I tune in as often as possible, hoping to find something I've never heard before that I can't live without. DJs on CM stations can actually be fun to listen to. Some love to educate, some insert personal opinions, some love to give interviews. What I wonder, though, is what sort of background, educational or otherwise, do people in this profession generally have? Radio broadcasting? Communication? Music? Just simply an enthusiast? All of the above? Is it usually a part-time, second job, or can it be a full-time career? I've always wondered.
HD Radio Markets? Can you listen to HD radio stations in more than one market? I live in Canton Ohio and there is Only 2 stations broacasting in HD here. However I live about an hour away from cleveand Ohio which has 30 or more stations broadcasting in HD and HD 2 channels. I can pick up just about any cleveleland station on my reagular radio. Would I be able to pick up stations from the cleveand market or just my local canton stations. I was curious because I'm thinking about getting an HD radio and I dont think it would be worth it if I can only listen to 2 stations that i can pick up fine with out an hd radio.
Radio Phone-in's? Does your local radio station have a talk show/live phone-in? Does it have a website you can listen to it on? Doesn't matter where in the world! Just don't point me forward to Radio City and Prat, i mean, Pete Price lol. Yes DK, we used to have Scotty McClue on the local station about 8 years ago. Jeez, is it really that long ago?? I don't really like him tbh.
How in the world do you get this thing to work? I've been trying, and I've never been able to get the listen-live option of my local radio station to ever work. It's the "listen live" link around the top center of the page. http://www.ksskradio.com/main.html Ok...I allowed pop-ups...and the thing won't play...what's the problem now?
Is there a website that streams TV signal to your computer? I use mobile stream center to listen to my favorite radio stations from Philly, i was wondering if there was website where you can find live streaming digital broadcast tv stations of say the local fox station up there. I want to watch the eagles game tomorrow, and im in the south so im sure it will not be broadcast in our region. Thanks for your help! 10 points for the best answer!

Does NY(Long Island) have a radio station like KROQ in California with bands and stuff...not over played crap? I live on Long Island in New York and i was wondering if there was any local radio staions in the NYC and Long Island area that was like KROQ in California. I really liked the bands and music they play ...not the over played crap they put on here ...u either have to listen to Z100 or BLI and thats all over played hip hop and pop shyt with maybe an occaisonlly a band will be on like staind... or u end up listenin to music from late 80's and early 90's on all the other crappy staions. I would really liek to have a station like Kroq ...like KROQ NEW YORK station or something like that...it would be cool to listen to some good music for once when u turn the radio on...i know there's alot of pople from NYC and Long Island that agree with me....so i was just wondering if there was sation like that or if there isnt ....is there a way to get a station on the air liek that? im also only 14 ...so im sayin like when i go out in the car ...i rather listen to something other than the rap stuff my bros listen to...and i cant use my cds cuz they all have cursing and stuff so its not good to play in front of parents ...

is anyone else scared about obama becoming president? after reading a lot and listening to my local talk radio station i feel as though we all made a big mistake voting for obama. judging by what i read/heard it sounds like ALOT of people are going to loose money, jobs, homes, and businesses because of obamas economic policies. i don't know about any of you but i think the economy is already in the toilet, and as a college student i really want my loan so i can continue to go to school. so why would i want the economy to get worse? living expenses are already ridiculous. PLUS why would i want to pay for an illegal alien who does not even belong here, or some professional con artist who collects welfare and refuses to work. i just feel that a lot of people voted for obama because he was either black, had a cool campaign slogan, or just because everyone else's friends was voting for him. i hope i'm wrong, and i don't want to offend anyone. don't even say im a racist because i am not. i am simply just asking a question. i didnt vote for anyone because i was in the hospital and im actually a registered democrat.
Who Lives Around San Diego/Los Angelos And Likes Hip Hop? if you do, please contact your local radio station that plays hip hop and R&B and tell them to stop over playing music please! i was down there last week, and the songs they kept playing over and over were.. sexy can i - ray j and yung berg please dont stop the music - rihanna the anthem - pitbull and lil jon sexual seduction - snoop dogg what you got - akon and colby o denis there were many many more, but these are the top over played songs! i use to like these songs until i almost died listening to them over and over, if im not correct the radio stations were 105.9 and 102.7 both radio stations kept playing songs after the other, i wouldve called up the radio station myself and let it out but i didnt know the number. if you live in the los angelos area, and you know the number to these radio stations, can you please tell me?
Looking for something different music wise...? I'm a DJ from MA and I'm constantly looking up new music for my mixtapes and party mixes. Anyway, I already know that living in MA puts you in a disadvantage (we get EVERYTHING last when it comes to music) but I surf all the mixtape sites and get all the new shit. However, I love having friends who go on vacation listen radio stations, especially in FL, Cali, NY etc to get me all the popular stuff from those areas and all over the country because sometimes that stuff doesn't even get to us in MA. Now, what's some music that you guys might have in your area that I don't have in MA - local artists, up n comming, remixes, freestyles etc. I'm not asking for the new joints on BET!!! Just stuff specific to YOUR area that might get picked up on the radio later on. If anyone trys to tell me to download "Yah Bitch Yah" by Soulja Boy or "Roll" by FloRida or any stuff that I've had for forever, I'll report you out of goddamn frustration for not reading my question thoroughly. I just want hip hop...I appreciate the techno shit but that's why I asked in this section.
Fleetwood Mac fans... I need your help! ? I'm trying to win tickets on a local radio station to see them live. Go to www.wmmo.com and then towards the bottom of the page, follow the link to listen to the montage. To get on, you must register with a florida zip code. I am a 59yr. old Rap Hip/Hop momma! I decided to become interested when it became popular.? I needed to hear what my daughter (34yrs.) and nephew (27) whom I also raised started to listen to it. To make sure that I was knowing and not just "going by what others said the music said"~! I'm not a great fan of some of the genre now..the "money, money, money, stuff! One of our favorite groups was and still is UGK in addition to the likes of Public Enemy. Surmise it to say that I was so saddened to read of Pimp C's untimely death. We live in Dallas and on last weekend a local radio station dedicated an evening to Pimp C; his newest work, those with whom he worked and Bun B, whom I truly love. There was a track that they played that I FELL in love with but, can not find it on any of his Cd's. The track was "I's/I'ze (sp.) a Pimp"! Can anyone help me locate this track or to at least provide the correct title as I would like to download it..it really had me pumpin'! lol (yeah..we still do after 30 ya'll, and I've been in corporate america for over 29yrs! To "straight outta plymouth", I didn't say WHAT year we became interested..and, to get YOU straight..we began to listen when my daughter was in Jr. high and my nephew was in elementary school. We listened together and discussed what we heard. My nephew has been providing/producing raps/beats for awhile and he and my daughter WOULD probably push you under the table with their knowledge..as well as myself. I was merely trying to get an answer, not a dissertation, WE KNOW THE HISTORY OF RAP and where it began, thank you very much! I didn't ask them as I wanted to surprise my daughter a burned mixed CD of his stuff and some others that I knew she would love for Christmas as she is in rehab for a broken leg and music helps to keep her happy! I had to tell her that he had died. You still did not answer the question. It was a single, what is the correct spelling as I can't find it? Also, my avatar as am I is none of your business and nothing to do with my question! Answer it or leave it!!!
If a radio says it has AM/FM/TV/Weather...? Does that mean it covers all of the local tv station programming like ABC, NBC, CBS etc. or does it mean it only covers 1? Cause where I live the regular AM/FM radio has only 1 audio carrier from NBC. I'd just wish if it said you can listen to your tv shows that you could listen to all of the local tv stations. So would i be able to listen to ABC or what???? thanks
Sincere question for Mormons? I'm working in Utah this year and there are some things about the faith that I would really like to know... The first one is this: I was listening to the local Salt Lake public radio station the other day when a Mormon featured on the program said that while most Mormons (especially young ones) accept the values and practices of the faith, they do not really believe in the literal history of the Book of Mormon. That is, while they believe Mormons are some of the most moral people who live good lives, they do not really believe that Adam and Eve were in the US, nor did a tribe of Jews come to the US, and so on. In your experience, is this true? Do most Mormons really not take the book literally? Thanks everyone for your answers. Thanks mormon_4_jesus, I did not know that (I didn't think that it may have come from the other mormon works). urfree2think: You're already anticipating my next question. Infinity: I agree with you - most Christians do not agree with a literal history of the Bible. I guess I was wondering how many Mormons were or were not fundementalists. Isolde: I read that story too. It said that the chickens are thought to be of Polenesian origin.
Better am reception? What can I do to get better reception on my am radio? I am prepared to buy another radio if that's what it takes. But so far, most nights I pull in Canada really easy! But I do not live anywhere near Canada, and my local station pulls in Coasttocoastam just as well, probably much better for me. Except I can't access my local station at all. By the time the frequentcy keeps fading in and out. I spend half of the night just trying to locate the station. So what I am really asking, is there some kind of device that will center it and keep it right on the frequentcy, without letting it go back and forth and fading out. Cause' as it is right now, it's not worth trying to listen at all. And I really love this radio show. Stations come in all on top of each other, sometimes 3 or more in just one location on the dial. It's a regular AM, not shortwave. Antennae idea looks good.
Country Western Political propaganda. Do you hear this mess on your radio? O! my Goodness!! at my job we can only get one station that is located 2 blocks from our building WXCY the country station. Now, I like all kinds of music. I just require it to contain two things good singing and good lyrics. However, I have just listened to 3 songs in the past hour that are political. All about the war, All by men . One guy is singing about the great decision to invade Iraq. But, he admits he dosen't know the difference between Iraq and Iran. The other song is about some guy claiming to just come from war, and he is doing great things but the locals are completely unappreciative. And the last guy, I don't know what he is talking about all I hear is Womp, Womp, Womp. Blah, Blah, Blah. OK, great. As I write here comes Gretchen Wilson. She is apparently politically incorrect because she supports soldiers and firefighters. Where does she live at that is politically incorrect to support soldiers. I like country music. Most of it is great. Its just those few crappy songs that you hear that make it bad. But the same can be said for hip hop, and any other popular music. Racist, who them or me? Either way, I don't get it because there is no mention of race.
Do you still like the Jonas brothers now? I hate those god damn jonas brothers. everyone says they are so hot and are good singers. no they suck and are ugly. Well I live in delaware and i was listening to the local station wstw. Apparently the song reached # 3 or something in the top five. Then the announced on the radio that the jonas brothers were pissed off because they didn't chart at # 1 so they slammed wstw with a whole bunch of awful things. Believe me i listened and the things said were pretty bad. So do u still like the jonas brother now??? actually now that i think of it i dont expect you all to believe me. but it did happen. if u hate them then good for you. if u like them then go live in a hole k yall i guess i overeacted just a lil. i aint jelouse of no one tho. if i was jealouse of everyone better than me than belive me i wouldn't listen to any music. nut i did get a lil outta control and if i offended u i appologise. this is god honest truth. i dont know if what i heard was true but its true that i heard it.
Can you please sign this? http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?1007bat&1? This is a plea to all the local bands, to all the musicians, to all the people who remember freedom of speech! Now I realize that the majority of you do not live in the Cleveland area and this doesn't affect you in anyway...but in actuality it does. Clear Channel has taken away yet another morning radio show and is yet AGAIN forcing us to listen to what they find funny. It isn't right. You might ask, how does this affect me? Clear Channel is nationwide they attack radio stations like a cancer, destroying what is good and leaving nothing behind but masses and tumors that attempt to feed off the loyal listeners. This is a petition about a local radio morning show that has been replaced. I don't know if signing the petition will help the cause or not...but sometimes getting voices out from the people outweighs the final result. It might be too late for the morning show that I listened to, but it might help to save yours later on. Thank You. Kristen
Looking for bitchen "scene" bands? Ok, so, I'm not eighteen anymore and i would really like to keep up with the world of music. I think it is really important that new and innovative bands with an original sound get the play and recognition they deserve. Since this is underground music, it is hard to give them this support. I also didn't mention this. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. When I first arrived I cried listening to the radio stations. There's Country, Christian, Hawaiian, and a corporate rock station. I'm telling you... no KROQ, no satellite radio (I think it has something to do with the mountains and being in the middle of the ocean a million miles from anything). I need help. Preferably, Internet related. Local Band ='s Hawaiian music. No Ticket Master on the island. Do I need to go on MY Space and pick-their-brains there.? I'm from Dana Point, CA (Orange County).
